Then apply more floor finish.

Why would I get a VCT floor top scrub recoat and not a strip and recoat?

A VCT floor top scrub recoat will remove the top layer of floor finish, so if you do not have a lot of scratches in your floor finish and the scratches on the floor finish are not too deep, a top scrub recoat would be a great way to get your floors looking new again and would save you a little bit of money versus the price for a VCT floor strip and wax.
