When can I put back furniture after my vct floor is waxed?

When you get your VCT floor stripped and waxed or get a VCT floor top scrub recoat

You should give the floor finish time to fully dry.

You can start putting back light furniture such as chairs, trash cans, and things like that within an hour or two.

For heavier furniture like desks and chairs, we recommend waiting 6 to 8 hours. If you have furniture with wheels, we recommend waiting at least 6 to 8 hours. Also, you want to make sure that if it has wheels, they roll freely so they do not mess up the brand new floor finish on your VCT floors. If you can carry it and put it in place, an hour or two should give the floor finish enough time to fully dry. Always remember to make sure that the floor is dry before moving furniture back. If it is sticky or tacky, do not keep walking on it. Wait longer, then test to see if the floor finish is dry before proceeding to put back your furniture. How can you test it to see if it is dry? Feel the floor to see if it is dry.
